At the beginning of the new year, 2019, I decided I needed a vehicle, not just for myself but for my family. My extended family lives on another reserve, 100 KM away. My wife and I, wanted to visit more often without bumming a ride and to occasionally help a family member with shopping.
I did the research and called some dealers and brokers with little results. I decided to give First Nation Auto Brokers a try and they responded quickly after an online application.
I told them what I wanted and specifically asked for a Chevy Equinox, a model as recent as possible but not brand new because I cannot afford one at this time. They hooked me up with a beautiful 2015 Equinox LT, with AutoStart.

Through text, phone and email, the dealer helped me out and answered all my questions in detail. I was approved for a vehicle and I received my delivered SUV (on-reserve) two days after sending him all the documentation he needed:
- copy of my driver’s license
- void cheque (provided by download on CIBC website),
- two previous cheque stubs
- treaty card (for on-reserve delivery).
When the vehicle arrived, I signed and initialed some documents from Carfax and others. I got a set of two FOBs (most people get one FOB but I lucked out somehow).
The ride is great, and it still has some warranty on it. It is much more convenient now to visit our old home reserve and to see our family.
Thank you very much, First Nations Auto Brokers.
